The former soviet symbol hammer and sickle was replaced by an updated version of the imperial double-headed eagle during the recent reconstruction of the historical building of Bolshoi Theater in 2006-2011. The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow, Russia, designed by architect Joseph Bov?, which holds performances of ballet and opera. The building was constructed in 19th century as part of royal theaters.
