Double-Headed Eagle on the Holy Vivifying Trinity Cathedral
The bronze double-headed eagle, the symbol of Russian State, decorates the top of the Cathedral of the Holy Vivifying Trinity in Orekhovo-Borisovo, the metochion of the Patriarch of Moscow on the South of the city. The church was built in Neo-Byzantine (Byzantine Revival) style by the project of the architect Vladimir Kolosnitsyn in 2001-2004 to commemorate 1000 anniversary of Christianity in Russia.
