«Silver Domes and Bell Tower of Smolenskaya church (Suzdal)»

Beautiful picture of shining silver cupolas of the church of Our Lady of Smolensk and its bell tower surround with rowan trees. The cathedral was built in Suzdal in 1696-1706, and restored by architect Olga Guseva in 1960. Smolenskaya church has many features in common with other buildings belonging to the same period. The bell-tower (at the right in this picture) of this cathedral belongs to the period of Russian Classical architecture at the end of 18th century.

Photo #068 taken on September 25, 2004 during two day long distance countryside tour to Suzdal and Vladimir with my Dear Client from USA, Thad Loomis.
