The view from the observation deck of Water Tower upper part of the gate church of John the Theologian that decorates in present time the main entrance to Rostov Kremlin from the western side of the fortress. The church topped with elegant bulbous cupolas was constructed in 1670-1683, when the kremlin was rebuilt by Metropolitan Iona Sisoyevich as his Residence called "Metropolitytian’s Courtyard".
