«Golden Cupola of Ivan the Great Bell-Tower»

The upper part of the 81-meter tall Ivan the Great bell-tower of Moscow Kremlin topped with a high drum carrying an elegant golden cupola and a 7-meter-high cross against blue skies in the winter season. Below the dome, a gilt-lettered inscription against the dark blue background says^ “by the instruction of Great Sovereign, Czar and Great Prince Boris Feodorovich and his son Feodor Borisovich the tower was rebuilt and gilded in the second summer of their rule, in 7108 (1600). The architectural complex of the bell tower has been formed in the 15th-17th centuries.
