Anniversary Balloons

In 2013, GUM celebrated its double anniversary, 120 years from the day the Upper Trade Rows (the original name of the well-known mall at Red Square), designed by architect Alexander Pomerantsev, have been opened, and 60 years since the GUM was reopened in 1953. The building was decorated indoors and outdoors. During summer, in the end of June till the beginning of July, many colorful “Anniversary Balloons” are placed within the mall, creating a truly festive atmosphere for its visitors. And surely, most of the people with cameras, who entered the mall at that time, wanted to take a picture of this great celebration.
