«The Wooden Church of the Resurrection of Christ in a Summer Day»

The Church of the Resurrection of Christ in theMuseum of Wooden Architecture and Peasants' Life was built in Vladimir Region in 1776 and moved to the museum in Suzdal in 1970s. Behind the church is standing another wooden temple dedicated to Trasfiguration of Christ, its dome can be seen on this picture as well. Both wooden 18th century churches are the heart of the Suzdal's museum, catching the eye of any visitor with their simple yet elegant beauty.

Photo #088 taken on June 26, 2009 during long distance countryside tour of Suzdal with my Dear client from USA, Patricia Hartman.
