«A Road Through Ramparts to Suzdal Kremlin in Spring»

Beautiful spring cityscape of Suzdal with a view from old earthen ramparts (former fortifications) on the not paved street Krasnaya Gorka (The Red Hill) leading to the Kremlin area of Suzdal, wooden private houses and stone churches in springtime, when snow almost melted and more and more sunlight coming our through clouds to warm up the Russian land. The big summer stone church of Saint Nicholas with curved tent-roof bell tower stands at the right on this picture. It was on construction in the Kremlin from 1719 till 1739. The landmark and one of the main attractions of Suzdal, Nativity Cathedral (13-18 centuries) and bell tower (17 century) can be seen behind the wooden houses in the background of the composition.
