Icon of Our Lady the Sign ( Interior of a Corner Dome)

Paintings on the vaults with an image of Our Lady the Sign (Oranta) decorate one of the four corner domes of the Cathedral of Transfiguration of the Christ of St. Euthymius monastery in Suzdal. The almost completely surviving murals inside the cathedral were executed in 1689 by a team of icon-painters from Kostroma led by the eminent masters Gury Nikitin and Sila Savin.
