Church Chandelier and Ceiling Vaults Under Central Dome (Album)

Interior of the ancient five-dome Transfiguration cathedral built on the grounds of St. Euthymius monastery at the end of 16th century. The view on the ceiling under the central dome and grand chandelier (panikadilo) of the church. The murals, arranged on its walls in several tiers, are devoted to the life of Christ (3 upper tiers) and the acts of the Apostles (the lower tier) and date to the end of 17th century (executed by team of icon-painters from Kostroma led by the eminent masters Gury Nikitin and Sila Savin).
