The Holy Gate with two tent-shaped towers
The Holy Gate surmounted with two tent-shape towers is one of the famous architectural monuments of the convent of the deposition of the Robe (Rizopolozhensky Convent) and the one of the symbols of Suzdal city. Erected in 1688, the Gate was created by three Suzdal craftsmen, Mamin, Shmakov and Gryaznov. The main element of the d?cor of the gate is panels with colored tiles. The facets of the tent-shaped towers have decorative windows. The deceptive simplicity of the Holy Gate evinces so much taste that this miniature structure is rightly considered one of the most notable architectural monuments in the town.
