«Trinity Cathedral and Chapel of St. Nikon After a Spring Rain»

View from Cathedral Square of Holy Trinity - St. Sergius Lavra on the old Holy Trinity Cathedral and Chapel of St. Nikon behind it with shining gilded onion-shaped cupolas against the dark clouds after a spring rain. The Trinity church built in 1422-1425 is the main and the most ancient church of the monastery. The side Chapel of St. Nikon was constructed later, in 1548.

Photo #350 taken on May 23, 2019 during the long distance countryside tour to the cities of Golden Ring of Russia with my dear clients from Austria, Herbert and Maria Petschar.
