Beautiful view of the churches and buildings on Cathedral Square of Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Monastery on a nice sunny spring day. On this picture from the left to the right: angled view of the western wall of the white stone building of Assumption Cathedral with the main entrance gate (1559-1585) and a small Godunov`s Family Grave (early 17th century) in front of it; the red and white Baroque Chapel over the Well (1644) and the elegant Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit with blue onion-shaped dome (1476) behind it; the white Holy Trinity Cathedral (1422-1423) with the Church of St. Nikon (1548) and the colorful tent-like Canopy over the Cross (1872) in front of it; and finally, memorial obelisk (1792) and a corner of the bell-tower (mid of 18th century) at the right on the photo.

Photo #135 taken on May 08, 2009 during countryside tour to Sergiyev Posad with my repeat clients from Belgium, Bert Nys and Kazuko Kawabata.
