Monastery Domes and Towers Against the Grey Clouds

The shining beautiful cupolas, towers and roofs of Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra in Sergiyev Posad, the top-ranked monastery and spiritual center in Russia in the background of the grey clouds before rain. The gilded domes of the Holy Life-giving Trinity Cathedral (1422-1423) with the Church of St. Nikon (1548) are in the middle of the composition. The roof of Metropolitan's Chambers and green colored top with the spire of the Water Tower (16th century) are from the left in the picture. The top of the colorful tent-like Canopy over the Cross (1872) is at the front to the right of the picture.
