= Onion Cupolas of Churches and Towers of Rostov Kremlin at Cathedral Square = Beautiful onion cupolas (domes) of ancient churches and towers of architectural ensemble of Rostov Kremlin behind the low wall surrounding the Cathedral Square (one of three parts of the kremlin). The churches and towers of the Kremlin covered with beautiful clouds at the moment. The kremlin of Rostov Velikiy (The Great) was built by efforts of the Metropolitan Iona Sysoyevich in 17th century and consists of three relatively independent functional zones: the Cathedral Square (Assumption cathedral with Belfry at the left on this pic), the bishop's yard (high walls and towers with church at the right on this pic), and the Metropolitan Gardens at the right side close to the lake Nero.
