Monastery Fortifications through the Belfry Arch
The view through arched opening of a small 19th century belfry (now using as observation deck) on the fortifying walls and towers of Goritsky monastery in Pereslavl-Zalessky. The walls and towers as a part of defence of the monastery located on a hill were constructed in 17-18 centuries. Available space in the towers they use in present time as repositories of the local Museum of History, Architecture and Fine-arts.
