Golitsyn Trail
The famous trail of Golitsyn is a popular tourist route in mountains located to the south-west of Novy Svet village-resort in Crimea. The mountain path carved along the slopes of Koba-Kaya Mount, also known as the Eagle (Rus: Oryol) Mountain, by the order of Prince Lev Golitsin Lev for the arrival of Tsar Nicholas II in 1912. The length of the Golitsyn’s trail is around 5 kilometers and time is needed to make round-trip around 2-3 hours. Walking on the path, you can visit the grotto of Chaliapin, see an amazing mountain and sea landscapes of the cape Kaptchik and the Mount Karaul-Oba (Karaulnaya), swim in the Blue Bay at the Tsar’s Beach.
