The Christian Orthodox Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Livadia was the home church of Romanov family. The church was constructed in neo-Byzantine style in 1864-1866 by the project of Ippolit Antonovich Monighetti (1819–1878), the Russian architect of Swiss descent who worked for the royal family.
