Clearing the Air Over Gurzuf Bay After a Fog Storm

Clearing the Air Over Gurzuf Bay After a Fog Storm
«Clearing the Air Over Gurzuf Bay After a Fog Storm»

Overview the settlement of Gurzuf with mountain Au-Dag and rocks Adalary from the observation deck on a top of a hill. The picture was taken after clearing the air over the settlement and the mountain after a fog storm covered the coast of Crimea peninsula.

Gurzuf is the resort settlement located in 10 km from Yalta. Here was located a dacha (summer house) of Anton Chekhov, the famous Russian writer who settled here in 1898, to treat his tuberculosis in Crimea.

The mountain Au-Dag was nicknamed as “Bear Mountain” because of it looks like a bear that drinks water from the Black Sea. Two famous rocks Adalary are located about 300 meters (1000 ft) from the coast near the mountain. Here, in Gurzuf near the mountain, is located the Artek, an international children center (the former Young Pioneer camp).
