Kharitonenko Homestead

Homestead on the Sofiyskaya (Sofia') embankment of Moskva river was built in 1891-1893 by the order of the famous industrialist, owner of sugar plants Pavel Ivanovich Kharitonenko. It was designed by architect Vasily Gerasimovich Zaleski in Renaissance and Baroque style This property located in front of Moscow Kremlin on another side of the river was owned by the Kharitonenko 's family since 1870 until Soviet revolution 1917.
