«On Empty Red Square at Morning Twilight»

Beautiful photograph of my dear clients from USA, Kelli and Mathew Blake, meet daylight early morning on Red Square with background of the spectacular St. Basil's Cathedral at the beginning Moscow city tour during their short layover in Moscow. The church and other buildings were lit in warm colors at the beginning of the sunrise.

The original name of the church, the famous and well-known Moscow, Russia landmark, is the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat. The church was built in Red Square in 1555-1561 by order of Tsar Ivan the Terrible to commemorate his victory over the Kazan Khanate, which took place on the religious holiday of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.
