Magnificent Golden Cupolas of Holy Churches (Sergiyev Posad)

Beautiful golden domes of the most ancient churches in Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra (high-rank type of monastery), the center of Russian Orthodoxy, nicknamed as Russian Jerusalem.

On this picture:

• At the left: the golden dome of the Church of St. Nicon (1548) with the tomb of St. Nicon;
• At the right: the golden dome of the Cathedral of Holy Trinity (1422) with the holy relics of St. Sergius, a founder of the famous monastery.
