Christ the Redeemer Cathedral Framed by Trees in Summer
«Christ the Redeemer Cathedral Framed by Trees in Summer»

View from Volhonka street on the Cathedral of the Christ the Savior (the Redeemer) and a park ensemble framed by trees on a nice summer day. It is the highest orthodox temple in the world built in the 19th century to gratify God for saving Russia from Napoleon’s army invasion. Unfortunately, the original cathedral was destroyed by the order of Stalin in 1931, but rebuilt anew according to its historical appearance at the end of 20th century.
