Moscow is the business, scientific, cultural and tourist center of Russia, in addition to being the capital. It was first mentioned in the chronicles in 1147. The city was founded by the prince of Suzdal, Yuri Dolgoruki. The favorable geographical position at the crossing of important trade routes and in between the two rivers - Oka and Volga - contributed to fast development and growth of the city, which is now the largest city in Russia.

Moscow is a business and government city, with 10 million people living and working here, and 4 million cars on the roads everyday. It is not unusual to see terrible traffic downtown and on the main roads all around the city. Very often they close roads to pass government corteges, making it difficult to drive from one place to another. Here is a good expression: "New York traffic is a child's play compared to Moscow's traffic!"

Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world for expats. All services for foreigners here are very overpriced. Many of my clients from all over the world have been amazed that prices could be higher than in New York or London for example.
