Hi Arthur, I got across your blog while surfing for russian landscape pictures. I have always been drawn to Russia because of its interesting story of which much of it has been misunderstood by the rest of the world. After reading your commentary about the war in the Caucasus, I agree that the western media gives Russia no chance at explaining itself as expected. But thanks to your site, people who really want to know the complete picture can have access to the other side of Russia which is often not told. We had a great time with Arthur - our guide & driver during our 4 days stay in Moscow in September. We understood more of Russian history & culture through Arthur. He was a great guide & has been very patient with us when we ladies were enjoying our shopping. We also thanked him for the beautiful pictures he took for us especially the night scene around Moscow. Hi Arthur, we made it safely to Riga and we are now just on the ferry to Stockholm. Riga is beautiful. With my blackberry I have email so it's great. I wanted to thank you for such a wonderful trip to Moscow. What an incredible experience. I could not imagine Moscow without you! It was so much more fulfilling. Russian has always fascinated. We hear about your country so much in the news that it was important for me to experience it first hand. I think in many ways North America and Russia are alike. We have very different histories, but in many ways we live the same in these times of rapid communication, TV and the internet. It is striking that without those tools cultures evolved so differently but with them we have many similarities! Stay in touch. If you ever come to Canada you have to visit the capital city of Ottawa and I will happily be your guide! Thank you again, K
