I was looking for a driver/guide to tour Moscow's Golden Ring and somehow fortunately found Arthur's website. Via email and a few SKYPE calls we discussed my proposed itinerary, with Arthur suggesting some great embellishments to what I had planned. In two, 14+ hour days we toured four of the major cities on the Golden Ring including Sergeev Posad (a must see), Vladimir and Suzdal. Arthur's knowledge of the sights and history of each of these areas was more than impressive as was his perseverance to gain entry into monasteries and churches that were closed when we arrived. He therefore enable me to see all the major sights along the way and not miss anything due to the timing of our arrival. Beyond being totally fluent in English, Arthur is extremely reliable, has a very comfortable car and really does a great job in fulfilling every wish of his clients. By the way, he's also a great photographer and may help you bring back some great pictures of your visit. After our initial long distance conversations and spending two days traveling the Golden Ring together, I feel that I not only had a great tour guide in Russia but have made a new friend. Arthur thanks for a fantastic tour!

OUTstanding service and great knowledge of the city. Arthur made my trip to Fedoskino a dream. He arranged everything in advance. Thank you, Arthur for your help. Next time I'm in Moscow I will be calling you. The photographs you took on that trip put a smile on my face each time I look at them.
Thank you SO much.

In June of 2010, my friends and I had a long layover in Moscow. We were hoping for a brief one day introduction to Moscow, yet Arthur gave us so much more. He was not only a comfortable guide, but incredibly knowledgeable. His knowledge of Russian and world history is incredible. As a history teacher, I was especially impressed with his attention to historic detail. One thing I appreciated was his efficiency considering our time constraints. We viewed the sights at our own pace, yet he seemed to know every trick when it came to getting in and out of a location and moving on to the next. Another aspect of his services that impressed me was his ability to speak excellent English. If we had a question, he had the answer, and there was never a conversation that was lost in translation. Without reservation, I highly recommend Arthur and his guide services. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or concerns you may have.

IN just two days, Arthur introduced the highlights of Moscow to my wife and me. His extraordinary knowledge of the city, its history and monuments helped bring the city alive. Arthur brings a personal touch with his love of Moscow and Russia. I highly recommend him to all.

My previous review was overly verbose, so here is the readers' digest version:
You will absolutely never get anyone better than Arthur !

We just returned from a Viking River Cruise from Moscow to Saint Petersburg. We were concerned about the limited time we had in Moscow, and the fact that we would not be able to see everything we desired. Also, considering that June 12 was a holiday we did not know how that would affect venue openings. We arrived in Moscow late afternoon on June 10, so that day was lost. This basically left us with only 2 days including the holiday.
We were truly fortunate to have found out about Arthur, and yes, all those glowing reviews are true. Prior to leaving home Arthur called us on our computer using Skype and we talked for 45 minutes about our Moscow plans.
Arthur made sure we saw everything we wanted to see and more! We were with him from 8 AM to 6 PM on June 11, and from 9 AM to 1:30 AM on June 12-13.
We travelled all around Moscow in his car, seeing buildings and monuments from every angle, stopping at those sites we wanted most to see, and those, which Arthur suggested. At the Kremlin, we saw all the Kremlin churches, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the changing of the guard. We also toured the Armory and the Diamond Fund. We even went back to Red square after it reopened at one AM to get a closer look at Saint Basil's illuminated. Among other sites, we visited the seven sisters, the GUM department store, the Arbat, Peter the Great monument, the victory memorial, multiple metro stations with their unique interiors, and the Tretyakov Gallery with site guidance and extensive commentary by Arthur. The Sergius Monastery was delightful especially as a service was in progress. On the outskirts of the city we visited the Novodevichy Convent and cemetery. On our last night, we ate at a Ukrainian restaurant and saw the Moscow lights by car and from Sparrow hill and Moscow University where we were expecting fireworks, which never materialized. The crowds however were exciting and the entire Kremlin, not just the towers, was ablaze for Russia Day.
We couldn't be more pleased with the attention and professionalism that Arthur demonstrated. He is knowledgeable about Moscow and Russian history, and is fluent in English. More importantly, he is a genuinely nice person who bent over backwards to ensure that we got the most out of our experience. He goes as fast or as slowly as his guests prefer. His fees are very reasonable, especially considering all the extras, such as photography that he provides.
Probably the best travel money we ever spent. You absolutely can't go wrong seeing Moscow with Arthur.

Arthur, thanks for making our trip to Moscow so worth while and well spent! Surely you are giving tours on a regular basis but Pat, Guss and I really appreciated your heartfelt efforts to show us around the beautiful city.
