Koktebel is a small settlement in Eastern part of Crimea that situated on the shore of the Black Sea about halfway between Feodosia and Sudak. From western (left) side of this quite big bay is located the Kara-Dag Mountain (literally: "Black Mount"), an ancient volcanic rock formation.
