«On the Modern High Speed Ferry “Protoporos VI” – Pobeda»

This photo was taken at the end of my vacation in Crimea this year as our huge ferry finished loading vehicles and passengers at “Krym” (Crimea) for our journey to the port of “Kavkaz” in the Krasnodar Region (Caucasus), a distance of approximately 5 kms. Written in Greek on the boat deck was the text “ΠΡΩΤΟΠΟΡΟΣ VI” (Protoporos VI). After some online research I was able to discover that this modern ferry of the Pobeda class (in Russian – The Victory) was built at the Kouris shipyard in Amaliapolis, in 2012. The ferry now operates in the Kerch Strait (formerly known as the Cimmerian Bosporus), between the Crimea and Krasnodar Regions.

On this picture you can find my car :-)
