On the way to Tolstoy’s House in Yasnaya Polyana

Approaching Tolstoy’s House from west side with wooden summer terrace. Every year from all corners of boundless Russia and abroad thousands of people of all professions come to Yasnaya Polyana to see the places where the famous Russian writer lived for more than fifty years. Here Tolstoy created many of his great works including his novel “War and Peace” (In Russian: «Война и миръ», Voyna i mir), the epic story of Russian life in the days of Napoleon.
