Towering Fountains in Victory Park

Towering Fountains in Victory Park
«Towering Fountains in Victory Park»

On the main walkway in Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill, located between the Square of Victory and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, are five terraces that represent the five years of the war. Along the five water pools are 225 fountains, symbolizing the many weeks that the war raged on and the lives lost during that time. Every evening until midnight, the fountains are lit with red: an emblem of the blood shed by the Soviet people in WWII.
