25-ton bronze statue of the Greek Goddess of Victory Nike and figures of angels, trumpeting the glory of Russian arms on the top of 141.8 meter (465 feet) Victory Obelisk (Obelisk Pobedy) on the Square of Victors at Poklonnaya Hill (Victory Park) against the twilight sky in a spring season.

Lavish Decorations of Vaults of Dormition Cathedral

Lavish decorations on blue-painted vaults and top of the richly carved wooden iconostasis of Dormition Cathedral of the virgin (Uspensky Sobor, Assumption cathedral). The church on the grounds of Gorutsky monastery in Pereslavl-Zalessky was constructed in the 1750s with baroque and neoclassical elements in the manner of the prominent Moscow architect Karl Blank on money commissioned from Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, daughter of Peter the Great.
