The Guards of Honor stopped in front of Eternal Flame to pay tribute to the War victims by a minute of silence during ceremony of changing guards at the Tomb of Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden. The short, but impressive, five minute guard mounting ceremony takes place every hour at walls of Moscow Kremlin from 8 am till 8 pm.

The Nikon annex and the Serapion tent, where several of Sergius' disciples were interred, were added to the Trinity Cathedral on the grounds of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra in the early 16th century by order of the Grand Duke of Moscow, Vasily III (Basil III).
