«Peter the Great Statue at Twilight»

The Peter the Great Statue on the spit of Moscow River and Vodootvodny Canal (water bypass canal) at twilight on a cool spring evening. The impressive giant 98m (328ft) high monument from steel and bronze with statue of Tsar Peter I holding a scroll in his hand and standing on a flagship was erected in the mile from Moscow Kremlin in 1997 by the project of sculptor Zurab Tsereteli to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy. It is one of tallest statues in the world (8th place) and the biggest in Europe. The bottom of the monument is decorated with fountains.
