The view on the escalator going down from ground level vestibule to the deep-level Smolenskaya metro station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. It was built in 1953 at 50 m below the surface. Smolenskaya was the deepest metro station on the line until Park Pobedy (Victory Park) opened in 2003.
