The Doorway into the Main Church of Moscow Kremlin

«The Doorway into the Main Church of Moscow Kremlin»

Interior view of the Cathedral of Dormition (Assumption) of Our Lady through its entrance doors. It is not allowed to take photos inside churches and museums of Moscow Kremlin from 2006, so it was not easy to take the picture even when you out the doors (security man came to me and asked to stop taking pictures). Of course many of tourists try to make it anyway looking on these amazing frescoes, chandeliers and icons.

The grand Assumption cathedral was built in stone on the grounds of Moscow Kremlin by design of Italian architect Aristotle Fiorovanti in 1475-1479 who was invited to Moscow by Great Prince Ivan III “The Great” to build the main church at prince's residence for coronations and other important church and state events.

Photo #066 taken on September 16, 2014 during tour of Moscow Kremlin with my Dear client from China, Ding Ziting.
