Grand Bouquet

Features: 16 x 21 cm (6,3 x 8,2 in), 1760 carats, made from gold, silver, Brazilian diamonds and Columbian emeralds; the slightest motion makes its leaves and flowers shake; consists of three large flowers and several smaller ones.

Adornments like this one were in fashion and quite common among the ladies of high society and well-off young girls of the XVIII century. This is the period when Rococo style ruled the roost both in Europe and in Russia. The precious bouquet in the collection of the Diamond Fund is not the single of the kind but it is a really unique one.
