Dmitrov is among the oldest and most beautiful towns in Moscow region, located about 60 km North from the capital of Russia (2-2,5 hour drive from Moscow city center to the Dmitrov Kremlin) . This lovely town is only seven years older than Moscow and was founded in 1154 by the famous Yuriy Dolgorukiy, who was also the founder of Moscow.

The Easter Egg "Scandinavian" (1899-1903)

The Scandinavian egg is an enameled Easter egg made by Michael Perchin under the supervision of the Russian jeweler Peter Carl Faberge between 1899 and 1903. The egg was made for a St. Petersburg client, one of the very few eggs that were not made for the Russian Imperial Family.
