«Snowing in Red Square’s Resurrection Gate»

Night view from Manezhnaya Square at old style street lamp and Resurrection Gate, the main entrance to Moscow's Red Square, in heavy snowfall. The 17th century ancient gate with small Iberian Chapel in front of it were destroyed in 1929-1931 (first chapel, than the gate) by order of Soviet government. The new Resurrection Gate was officially unveiled in 1996. In the restored chapel was placed a copy of the original Iberian icon of Our Lady made on Athos in 1994.
