A Turbulent Cloud Before Sunset

Impressive sky and clouds over a small village Opolye on the way from Yuriev-Polsky to Rostov Velikiy. It was very impressive moment before sunset and rain, so I couldn’t miss it and stopped my car immediately (or could be late :-)) to take several pictures of this stunning and dramatic landscape.

In big or small settlements in Russia it is very common to see beautiful churches with onion domes and crosses rising over houses. Here, even it were quite far away from Opolye, you can distinguish the one with a bright blue and white color. Probably the church is too small on this picture, but still provides a striking contrast with the grey cloud and gives a common image to the Russian landscape.
