Welcome to Russian Maslenitsa Celebrations!

A young man dressed in old style costume with a wooden box with sweets for kids calls people to enjoy Maslentsa celebrations on Tverskaya square in Moscow, try delicious pancakes and honey drinks, have fun playing old Russian games and competitions, dance in khorovod (old Russian round dance) and more other fun for everybody.

Maslenitsa (or pancake week) is considered an ancient Russian folk holiday. In fact, this is the farewell to the winter and the solemn meeting of the beautiful spring.
