«Monastery Churches from Terrace of Archimandrite’s Mansion»

The view from terrace of the archimandrite’s mansion on the architectural ensemble of St. Euthymius Monastery of Our Savior from the left to the right: the tent-shaped Church of the Assumption (Uspenskaya Church) constructed in 1525, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration (Spaso-Preobrazhensky cathedral) built in 1594 (the church with green and gold domes), and the monastery’s bell tower with three arched bays built in 16th – 17th centuries. The picture was taken during listening 10 minutes concert of chimes and bells that offered for tourist every hour by professional bell ringer on the belfry.

Photo #267 taken on July 17, 2016 during two-day long distance countryside tour to Suzdal with my dear clients from USA, Andrew and Karen Green
