«The Tsar Light in a Shape of Five-Dome Church»

The Tsar Light in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin is made of copper and shaped like a five-domed church. The huge light was crafted at the end of the seventeenth century by order of the Metropolitan of Suzdal Hilarion. On its sides are four big handles to allow it to be carried during special processions on important church feast days.

Photo #298 taken on May 21, 2014 during one-day long distance countryside tour to Vladimir and Suzdal with my dear clients from Australia, Michael and Larraine Collins.
