«Angle view of Intercession Church of the Holy Virgin»

The Church of Intercession of the Holy Virgin was built with the royal palace (Tsar's Chambers) on the ground of Holy Trinity – St. Sergius Lavra in 1690s. The exterior of the building is painted with tile for decoration, typical for the “Moscow Baroque” style popular at that time. At the side of the palce church can be seen mosaic icon of Our Lady dedicated to the Intercession feast.
