Silver Onion Cupolas of the Resurrection Church

Silver Onion Cupolas of the Resurrection Church
«Silver Onion Cupolas of the Resurrection Church»

Built on the grounds of the Metropolitan Yard of Rostov Kremlin in 1670, and seen from the Sobornaya Square (Cathedral Square), are the beautiful onion-shaped silver cupolas (domes) of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ. The top of one of the eleven circular towers of the Rostov Kremlin can also be seen rising in front of the church. Covered with wooden shingles, the tower is crowned with the elegant form of the onion-shaped dome.

Photo #116 taken on August 11, 2014 during long distance countryside tour to Rostov Velikiy.
