«At Smolensky Cathedral in Novodevichy Convent»

My Dear clients from USA, Vivian and Peter Gutierrez, on the grounds of Novodevichy convent with background of magnificent Smolensky cathedral, the oldest structure in the convent whose construction dates back to 1524-1525. The Novodevichy Convent was founded in 1524 by Grand Prince of Moscow Vasili III in commemoration of the conquest of Smolensk in 1514. The church was built on money commissioned from the Moscow prince in honor of miracle-working icon of Our Lady of Smolensk. The main summer church built in Russian-Byzantine style with attractive silver and gold onion domes is opened only during summer season, from the beginning of June until the end of August.
