Vernisazh market
Izmailovo market is one of the city's major tourist attractions due to its extensive array of traditional Russian gifts and souvenirs.
Here is the view on the beautiful architectural ensemble of the Kremlin in Izmailovo from the small pedestrian bridge on the way to Izmailovsky Ostrov (Izmailov's Iceland). The walls and towers of the Kremlin were built in 1990s in the style of Medieval Russian wooden fortress and nowadays it houses the well-known and very popular craft flea market, called Vernisazh (or Art City, Craft Market), where you can buy all kinds of Russian souvenirs, as like matreshkas, shaulves, samovars, carved chess and Ded Moroz'es (Santas), gzhel and many other famous souvenirs from Russia at reasonable prices if compare with shops in downtown of Moscow city.
The weather in Moscow this winter is stil very warm, (now snow in middle of January, just incredible!) but very cloudy, just several days were sunny during the last couple of months... Of course, this weather is quite depressing, but I think that this colorful ancient style towers can change your mood in positive way with any weather conditions This is like kids start to smile after looking on Disney Land... and that is why, having pretty hard climate conditions with short summers and long winters, Russians like colorful & decorative buildings!
