This picture of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior I made during a river cruise on the Moscow-River. It was cloudy weather, but the Cathedral looks impressive anytime as symbol of our Orthodox religion.
The enormous gleaming golden dome and gigantic structure of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior is visible from all over central Moscow and it is the largest church in Russia. The Cathedral was built with the money collected by the people all over Russia in the 19th century. The church was later demolished in 1931 on Stalin's orders, but was recovered during 1995 - 2000.
