About Family Tour to Yaroslavl and Kostroma

Last weekend my wife and I had a great time on a bus tour to the region known as the Golden Ring of Russia. We visited the cities of Yaroslavl and Kostroma. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather, it was sunny with small puffy clouds for almost the whole weekend and I took a lot of interesting pictures during the tour which was a gift from my wife to me for my birthday. Honestly, it was my first time in these cities for they are located quite far from Moscow (Yaroslavl - 250 km and Kostroma - 330 km) and I had not previously any requests from my clients to organize and provide the long distance tours to visit these ancient towns. The cities inside "The Golden Ring of Russia" include Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Suzdal, Vladimir, Murom and some others. They are located to the North-East from Moscow and most of them were founded in the 11th -12th centuries. Each of these towns played an important role in the history of the Russian State.

I am going to create a special photo album to show you the best pictures with landscapes, beautiful architecture and some interesting events we saw during this tour and with these pictures, step by step, I will try to tell you more history about Yaroslavl and Kostroma. By the way, even though Yaroslavl is bigger and more famous, all of us during this tour were more impressed by the atmosphere, architecture and landscapes of Kostroma, so that I decided to upload the first picture from this tour "Panorama from Hotel Volga" which I took on Saturday evening right upon our arrival to Kostroma and check-in to the Hotel Volga. In this picture, which I took from the balcony of our room right before sunset, you can see the beautiful domes and tower of a church within the panorama of Kostroma, located on the famous river Volga.
