The biggest tourist attraction in Alexander Garden in Moscow is Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as the memory of those, who didn’t spare their own lives and didn’t come back from battlefields of the Great Patriotic War 1941 - 1945. Many years have already passed from official opening of The Tomb of Unknown Soldier (1967), but this memorial is still going to be one of the most famous in the entire country and abroad. Adults and kids, citizens and visitors of Moscow city come here every day to watch famous ceremonial of changing the guards. Newlyweds, foreign delegations and leaders of Russia are allowed to lay dawn flowers and floral wreaths to Eternal Flame showing endless respect to unknown soldiers died to defeat their Motherland from Nazi Invaders.

Fifteen years ago, on December 12, 1997, President of Russian Federation signed a decree to postpone the post number one honor guard from Lenin's Tomb to the Unknown Soldier's Tomb that started maintained by newly founded The Presidential Regiment. No matter of a season, weekend or state holiday, the very well trained kremlin soldiers provide impressive ceremonial of guard mounting hourly from 8am to 8pm every day.

The Presidential Regiment is a unique military regiment which ensures the security of Moscow Kremlin – the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation, and other important objectives; guards the highest state officials and ceremonial events and also maintains a guard of honor.

Called up for the service from all over Russia young conscripts in the Presidential Regiment are all united by their passionate love for their country, their aspiration to carry out their tasks at the highest grade possible and to perform their soldier’s duties diligently and in good faith.
