There are over a hundred bridges in the Russian capital, but few are more famous than the Krymsky Bridge. It leads directly into Gorky Park. Krymsky (Crimean) Bridge was built in 1938 based on the design by engineer A.V. Vlasov. The river in this place is shallow and centuries ago it was known as the Krymsky (Crimean) ford where the Crimean Tatars were crossing the river during their raids. The modern bridge is 671 metres long and 33.3 metres wide.
"River Trams" is given name by Muscovites of the small passenger river boats, which float on the Moscow-river every half hour at summer season.
